The Idea of my work comes from the trivial matters and the small happiness of daily life. Often I travel back in time. I have been attracted by nostalgia because I rediscover a warmth and the close contact between people and nature, which is disappearing in a fast-paced digital society. Nature has been part of me since I was little and it has given me energy and healing ever since. If my illustration could trigger a specific memory each of us have, that would be the world I want to create.

A store’s window display may make or break it. It helps grab the customer’s attention and persuade them to go inside and see what’s in store for them.
Yoko Furusho is a New York Based Japanese illustrator. She offered to come to Ikiru, a Japanese store in Barcelona to do a live painting. I like her whimsical, dream like drawings and seeing one on a window display of a store would definitely make me want to go in.
